Losing days when planning

Added by Maurice Kunze 10 months ago

Hello,

we have the following problem:
When we plan a project with some milestones we are losing some days in our planning.
Lets take this simple example:

The Task "Vierte Aufgabe" has a "follows" relationship with the milestone "Erster Meilenstein".
Now the problem is that the task which has this relationship with the milestone always starts one day after the certain milestone.
When planning projects like this for months or years in advance we will lose a good amount of days and the project will get pushed forward just because we used the relationships for the workpackages.
Is there some workaround for this scenario or has someone else also encountered this?

Hello Maurice,

work packages indeed automatically start 1 day after a milestone. I understand that this can lead to the loss of scheduling time especially in e.g. multi-year projects. Currently, there is no workaround to prevent this, I am afraid. However, there is a feature request in place that aims to change this:

I added a vote on your behalf.

Best,
Alexander
