"Automatic" Scheduling

Hi,

I have entered all data from a project into OpenProject (tasks, milestones, phases, dependencies). Now a member of the upcoming project approached me and told me that after consulting with the client they came up with an easier/faster solution and a work package would only last 5 days instead of 15. 

Happily, I made the change to the task and - nothing changed. All other work packages remained as they were, instead of automatically moving forward ("automatic scheduling" as in the original creation of the tasks).

Is it really the case that I have to manually adjust 50+ tasks to reflect the 2 weeks gained in delivery time?

Hello Thomas,

yes, that is indeed the case. There are several feature requests around that topic that are currently under specification/development (e.g. #52757 ).
I recommend you to check the release notes and/or social media post regularly because there might be changes that affect the manual and auto scheduling mode.
