Project Dropdown

Hi,

I am using a complex setup of projects and sub-projects and the corresponding tree in the project selection drop down. After the first sub-projects have finished, however, I noticed that they don't disappear from the selections, even though they are marked as closed/finished.

Is there any way to remove them from the selection or will it grown infinitely?

Hi Thomas,

congrats on finishing your first projects with OpenProject!
If you want these projects to disappear but not deleted, you can easily archive them via the project settings. Once archived, they do no longer appear in the project list but can be made visible (and un-archived) again by changing a filter setting.

thanks! I probably should have worked that out on my own, but the wording "archiving" just didn't come to my mind. Works like a charm.
