I was trying to add an image to a news post today, but the editor did appear to ignore the content when I was trying to paste it, both with a member role user and an admin account. When I tried the same on the Wiki page, it worked without problems (this was a different project, however).

Is this by design? If so, what speaks against allowing images as content for news items?
