How to show Ideal story points in burndown chart

Added by Roberto Trujillo almost 11 years ago

Hi, We just finished the first installation of openproject with backlogs plugin, I have two sprints, with user stories and tasks. The stories are in different status (1 is in Todo, 1 is done, 1 in progress), but when I generate the burndown chart, it just show the line for “story points”, it dont show the line for “story points (ideal)”. Im very new whith openproject, so I dont know what Im doing wrong

The same in my case, i even see a example(image) where also appears the Hours and Hours ideal.

There must be a configuration for every developer/designer/reporter, but i can’t find it anywhere.

Hi, I have noticed, that if I change the initial date for sprint, sometimes it works…I mean, if you add the task’s to the sprint today, try setting the initial date to tomorrow or yesterday…Im not yet sure how it works, but trying you can figure out this.

Hey,

it should work, if the sprint start-date is BEFORE the task start-dates. then you should see both lines (story points and story poings (ideal). And don’t forget to set story points for each task.

example:
sprint starts on 1st of october
userstory/task starts on 2nd of october

best regards,
Florian

Trying to get this to work too, but I am unable to edit my start dates. I have 5 User Stories in my sprint. When I click on the User Story from either Backlogs or from the Taskboard I find I can edit most fields but I cannot set/change the Start Date, Due Date, or Priority. My role has every access right enabled.

I continue to have problems with this. I have 5 user stories in my sprint for a total of 27 story points. All show up on the left side of the task board. Then I have created tasks for each. All the stories are now complete except one. All tasks have been moved far right to the complete column. The User Story show 100% complete when you view it, but the burndown chart does not reflect any of this. Also, reading Florian’s suggestion, I tried to modified the start dates of the User Stories, but cannot (see attached jpg). Ideal Story points remains at zero, and Story Points remain at whatever total is scheduled for the sprint, complete or not.

Thanks
Matt
