WP dependency
Added by David Peng 9 months ago
Hi,
The WP dependency doesn't work as expected.
Say, there are two WP:
task1, start date1, end date1
task2, start date2, end date2.
I set task2 follows task1. So that "start date2" will be "end date1" + 1.
If I push out "end date1", "start date2" will be pushed out automatically, which is as expected.
However, if I pull in "end date1", "start date2" will not change to an earlier date.
Any setting on it?
Thanks,
David

Hi,
Any one use openproject for schedule? How do you tackle the issue?
Traditional MS Project or new multi-user Redmine work as expected. They will pull-in following tasks automatically. Current implementation in OpenProject is quite inconvenient, user has to adjust following tasks manually.
Thanks,
David
Hello David,
this is indeed an expected behavior without a setting to change this currently. I understand your question though since this has already been mentioned in bug reports before (e.g = [1]).
The upcoming release of the new Gantt chart module opens up new possibilities to add further planning functionalities. [2] So this could eventually change with future releases.
Best,
Alexander

Hi, Alex,
Will you please correct note [2]? I'd like to see the new planning functionality.
Also, when will the new release available?
Thanks,
David
