Synchronising a list with SAP / Excel

Added by Lorenzo Curto over 1 year ago

Hello All,

I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, I've searched but I can't find it.

I don't know much about databases and so on but would it be possible in OpenProject to create a list as a custom field and for this list to be linked to an SAP database?

If not, I saw that thanks to github, there was a way to synchronise OpenProject with Excel. Would it then be possible for the list to be linked with Excel?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Lorenzo

Hello Lorenzo,

you can do quite a lot of different things via API. [1] That requires some knowledge of OpenProject' database (postgres) and the API though.
Hence, the Excel-Sync you mentioned might be the best way to start for you. This tool helps you to sync an excel sheet with an OpenProject project. There is a whole series of videos on the capabilities of that Excel-tool available here:

Best

Alexander
