Automatic task creation
Added by Egor Zakharov over 1 year ago
I have a predefined workflow in my organization for Content Creation. The procedure is as follows:
Create Content Guidelines -> Approva Content Guidelies -> Write Content -> Approve -> Publish Content
This procedure repeats multiple times for multiple clients multiple times in a month. It would make sence to create a master task with all the above actions as subtasks. But it's a madness to create these tasks over and over again and duplicating tasks from another 'donor' project manually doesn't seem like the propper way. I am looking to create a Content Creation "request" as a single task/milestone/whatsnot and all the subtasks to automatically be created as children and the people responsible assigned. Is there a way to automate this within the platform without using zapier/api/etc?
Thank you!

Hello Egor
currently, there is no way to create multiple work packages (tasks, milestone, phase etc.) at once as a recurring action. Having template tasks which you then copy and assign whenever you need them might be a simple, yet not so automated, workaround.
Maybe instead of separate tasks, using Create Content Guidelines -> Approval Content Guidelies -> Write Content -> Approve -> Publish Content as status for a single work package is also worth your consideration. You could work with custom actions to re-assign colleagues, adjust the progress etc. to automate things. [1]
