Time and Cost Reporting / Date (Spent) Filter

Not sure if anyone else does Time and Cost Reporting... we appear to have problems with previously created reports that use the Date (Spent) field as a filter.
There is/was a filter option "during the last days" that would accept a number.. it no longer appears to be working. The input box automatically pulls up a calendar and does not allow/take a number input.
I looked at the User documentation.. there is not a lot of [detailed] information about reporting filter(s) and what options are available?
This is on the Community Edition (12.5.7). I am waiting for the download and install of 13.0 before checking and opening a bug report for this. Our Server Administrator says the download is not working?
