(Question) Task status change permission

Added by William Marcondes almost 2 years ago

Hello everyone, how are you?

We started using openproject in our company a few days ago, and a doubt arose. Is it possible to assign a task to a specific member and prevent other members from changing the status of that task?

Hi William

great question! Changes to a work package's status are determined by both the user's role in a specific project and the workflows designed for the work package types (e.g. a task) and roles. So yes, this is possible. I recommend you the user guides on workflows [1] and user roles [2] to get a first overview on how things work together. Try out different variations and narrow down what suits your internal workflow best.

best

Alexander
