Assignees

Added by Natasha Mulford over 1 year ago

I am working on a "private" project, and essentially I would like to add an assign to various tasks and user stories so I can track personnel. Is there a way to add an assignee but not have them actually be assigned the task or user story? Most of the assignees do not have accounts in OpenProject, so basically ghost assignees, but with names -- if that makes sense.....

Hello Natasha,

placeholder users could be what you are looking for. This is currently an enterprise feature though.
You can assign them to work packages and treat them just like a normal project member. This feature is often used to manage external resources (like agencies) without the need to grant them an actual login.

best

Alexander
