Community Edition

Apologies for such a basic question. Just came across OpenProject and it is not totally clear how to get the Community edition.

Is it cloud based? it needs to be installed locally?

when I try creating an account it only allows a 14-days free trial. It looks like it will not be usable after that.

Hello Nuno,

The Community Edition is installed locally. You can find the installation guide for it here: https://www.openproject.org/download-and-installation/

We do also offer a 14 day trial for the cloud version or you can request a free on-premises trial license which can be activated in your local installation.
