% Progress with child tasks

Added by Mr Emery over 2 years ago

Hey everyone,

I have just gotten set up with OpenProject but I am stuck with the progress% option. I am putting together a training tracker using tasks/child tasks for the modules and I have set up statutes to change the % complete for the tasks but I am having some trouble getting this to reflect on the parent task as shown below - Is there another way I should approach this?

Many thanks in advance everyone :)

Hi Declan,

With the status based progress tracking, there is no roll-up of progress in the work package table hierarchy as the progress is based on the status and it’s associated progress value.

You can track the progress manually instead as described here: https://www.openproject.org/docs/user-guide/time-and-costs/progress-tracking/#manual-progress-tracking

Best regards
Samantha
