Incomplete setup of Backlog-/Scrum-Plugin?
Added by Martin Böhm over 10 years ago
Hi,
I run OpenProject 3.0.4 and installed the newest backlog-Plugin 3.0.7 with its corresponding PDF- and Plugins-Plugin. All three plugins are running and I also see the “Backlogs”-Entry in the left navigation bar.
But the Backlogs-Site is empty and I also miss the workpackage types Issue and User Story.
Whats wrong here? Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks and best regards
Martin

Hello Martin,
first you have to create the work package types in the admin area then you can configure the backlogs plugin in the backlogs plugin settings (%your host%/settings/plugin/openproject_backlogs). Here you can set what type is used as a Story or Task.
After this you have to create some Versions (“Sprints”) in the project settings you can define the position, in the backlog, for each version. Now the versions should appear in the backlogs view and you can add work packages to the versions.
This is just a short howto I hope it helps you to get further.

Thanks for your suggestion. I created the workpackage types Issue and User Story. Where do I find a comprehensive documentation of the type configurtion for scrum?
Moreover what do you mean by configure??? Do you mean configuration over the admin area or editing the configuration files in filesystem?
I can’t find the folder host/settings/plugin/openproject_backlogs. Is it a subfolder of another folder? Where to find it?
Thank you.
You’re welcome!
I mean configure the backlogs plugins in the admin area.
click: “Modules” -> “Administration” -> “Plugins” -> “Configure” (on the very right in the “OpenProject Backlogs” row)
Here you have to specify which work package type(s) is used as “Story” and which as “Task”.
The second thing is that you need “Versions” because the backlogs view only show “Versions” and their work packages. You can create/configure Version in the project settings (Versions tab).
