Copy/Clone Project or Project Templates

Added by Paul Maher about 6 years ago

Does the community version have the ability to copy/clone an existing project and all of its tasks or set up project templates?

Thanks.

Hello Paul,

yes you can copy existing projects with all of their tasks.

Here is a description from our user guide on how to do this: https://www.openproject.org/help/copy-existing-project/

Best,
Robin

You can use Revit and copy what you need. The next feature of specifications in Revit is that you can copy them to another project. To do this, you need to perform several simple actions: in the Project Manager, select the desired specification and copy it to the clipboard using the Ctrl+C key combination.
Create a new project and paste the specification Ctrl+V. Revit will notify you that some element types have been copied (e.g., opencart template), accept the warning, and see that in the Project Manager under "Bill of Materials/Specifications," the specification is exactly as in the previous project.
