Help: how to host another service on the same VPS as OpenProject
Added by Piotr F over 2 years ago
Hi,
We have a VPS with OP running (Apache 2, Ubuntu 20 LTS).
OP uses around 22% of the resources inluding space and RAM, VPS cannot be smaller, as that would affect speed.
We would really, really need to run two other services on the same VPS.
Our OP is reached via
sub.domain.com
The easiest thing would be to run vhosts.
And here is the problem: I am a lamer, but discovered that OP installed along with Apache (the most default way, given my lamerness), somehow controls all the Apache. Even standard Apache config files which should be in Apache config folders, are to be found in OP folders.
Could anybody, anyhow help with this?
I will provide with any detail needed.
Hope there is a human being out there willing to help. :))
Cheers,
Piotr

Hello,
Let me kindly remind that topic.
I believe the key to solve this out, is Apache, but I have no idea how to do it.
Sadly, I am thinking about dumping OP, as the other software, for another purposes, will be more important eventually. Still hoping to find a solution.
And we don't want to pay for another VPS, having this one running OP only, and using a small part of the resources.
If anybody could somehow show the directions, where to search for the answer, that would be great.
Cheers,
Piotr
