Enterprise Edition license + a private testing environment?

Hi!

First post. I tried to find info on this issue, but couldn't. I'll gladly RTFM, though, so apologies if I overlooked anything.

A new client of mine has an Enterprice Edition license. I've been tasked with setting up additional configuration on their end. Can I use their license on my privately hosted installation to prepare the work before rolling it out on the production installation?
