OpenProject Backup with Postgre on another Server
Added by Yael Tiples over 2 years ago
Hello everyone,
I have restored my openproject with postgre on another server, the problem is when running openproject backup it generates an error pg_dump command not found (obviously since the database is on separate server).
Does anyone know how to run the backup with this setup?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi Yael,
you can install the PostgreSQL package source or try your system's package installer for the
postgresql-client
package, that provides the pg_dump tool. Alternatively, you can backup your PostgreSQL database locally on its server.Best

Thank you very much Oliver. I forgot to mention that it is my first time handling postgre server as most of our DB servers are running on mysql and mariadb.
Cheers!
