Open Project is (almost) a really good meeting minutes documentation tool

Added by Jay Pub about 3 years ago

I just wanted to join to say this.

I've spent a good amount of time searching for and testing various self-hosted methods for documenting meeting minutes.  At many companies large and small, good documentation of meeting minutes and action items are very important to stakeholders, investors and of course participants of the meetings.

I realize the "Meetings" function of OpenProject is secondary and built to support meetings geared towards Project management. The "Meetings" function  is likely not as something that the OP team is considering might, on its own, draw people to try, install and use OpenProject.  But I believe it defintely could be.  If it were my project, I would create a landing page for highlighting the "Meeting" documentation function more (pitch it more as the Meeting Minutes documentation solution that it can be). For those users, the main PROJECT MANAGEMENT function of the software is nice bonus available if needed.

However, this feature request (export minutes as PDF) would be critical for pushing OP as a Meeting Minute documentation solution:

https://community.openproject.org/projects/openproject/work_packages/24808/activity

On the "Send for Review" you would probably also want an option to  [x] Include Minutes as PDF Attachment.

Anyway just wanted to say OpenProject is a very nice Project. :)

Hello Jay,

Thank you very much for your feedback! I have upvoted feature request #24808 for you.

Have a great weekend,
Samantha
