Changing a project identifier

Added by Jeremy Hansen over 1 year ago

I'd like to change a project identifier to something more appropriate.  I realize doing this would break links.  Is there any way of maintaining the existing identifier path so these link don't break while allowing new content to follow the new identifier name?

Hello Jeremy,

Thank you very much for your question.

It is not possible to maintain the existing identifier path when changing the project identifier.
As the notification before changing the project identifier says please note the following:
- Members of the project will have to relocate the project's repositories.
- Existing links to the project will no longer work.

Kind regards
Samantha
