Account blocked due to multiple failed login attempts

Added by Ted Stryker over 3 years ago

I've read a few posts by people experiencing this problem.  I'm getting this problem too and nothing seems to remedy the problem.  I create an account and no matter how many times I manually set the password (copy/paste), the login for that user never works.  I can wait a day for the timeout but it always comes back to the same login blocking.

Core version:  OpenProject 12.0.4
PostgreSQL version: 13.5

Also, I'm running it from behind an nginx reverse proxy since I'm hosting from my house.

What should I do?~

Hi Ted,

could you please supply some information, your post could be more accurate.

  1. Where did you install OpenProject on-premises? OS? docker? compose?
  2. What is the documentation that you followed for installation? Please also provide the steps that you additionally did or which steps you left out. Did you maybe upgrade from another version? Did you upgrade PSQL?
  3. Please refer to a few posts by people experiencing this problem by adding links to those other posts

So to answer your question 'what should I do?' I hope directions how to proceed in the forum are more clear now.

Kind regards
