Row height in WorkPackages view

How can I change the height of rows in the WorkPackages view? I want them to be thinner, so I can see more tasks on screen.

I found if I change the generated css (--table-timeline--row-height:40px)  to something smaller, then the gannt chart rows don't line up.

Is there a "proper" way to do it?
