OP 11.3.4: LDAP Group Sync: User Sync not working?

Hi everybody,

we are trying to get the LDAP group synchronization - *especially* including the "Sync User" option up and running.

Current situation:

  • The intended groups inside our LDAP (Active Directory) are being synced correctly to OpenProject.
  • Users that have been added to these groups inside Active Directory are - however - not created automatically in OpenProject although checkbox "Sync Users" is checked. Users that have *previously* already been added manually to OpenProject (and are inside the Active Directory groups, too) are mapped correctly to these synced groups in OpenProject tough.
  • Running Ubuntu with DEB installation of OpenProject EE 11.3.4.
  • /var/log/syslog logs nothing of relevance, /var/log/openproject is even empty

Any ideas?
