Members of sub-projects

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if there is a way to inherit members from a project to all of its sub-projects. 

We are organizing our service activities with OpenProject and I would like to have a project called "Service and Support" to which I assign the group of support employees. When creating sub-projects for, let's say, single customers I have to assign the group of people again. I would expect that there is some setting that sub-projects have at least the same set of members as the parent project.

Please don't get this the wrong way, but since I haven't gotten any response to my question, I wonder if

  1. the question was ill formulated,
  2. the question was not comprehensible,
  3. the forum isn't really that active after all, or
  4. the question is just dumb?

Maybe someone can give me at least a hint?

We are using project templates and organize all users in groups.

Once a new sub project has to be created, it is using the assigned groups from the template. Works good.

We have different templates for several IT processes (projects, change, operations, update / patchmgmgt, buying and s. o.) with diverse groups assigned.
