Hide projects from menu

I have lots of projects, some of them are finished.
I wan’t to hide the finished projects from the menu. If I mark them as archive in the administration page, then they are hided.

But in this case the logged times for theese projects workpackages are not shown in the cost reports!

How can I solve this problem?

I created a feature request for it because I will have the same problem.
