Multiple LDAP authentications

Added by Innocospace Co-Working about 4 years ago

Hi All,

We used to have LDAP authentication to just one LDAP server.  The problem is when that LDAP server goes down, all of us can't log in.  We have multiple LDAP servers in the active directory domain, can we just add the other LDAP servers to the LDAP authentication configuration?  Since all the LDAP servers are synced in the backside, and if one server goes down, will OpenProject just authenticate against the next LDAP server that's configured in the LDAP authentication in OPENPROJECT?

Would really appreciate some advice on this.  Thanks!

Hi,

our solution was to create a zone in our DNS.

This helps ous to have all LDAP Servers in a Round Robin.

The Problem is if you have LDAP Servers around the World and they are part of this zone it is possible that you will land on any of them and then the Login will take a little bit longer.

For that we didn't have a solution.

Regards

Anna-Lena
