Noob question: timesheet?

Added by Joost Verhagen over 4 years ago

Hi all,

I'm quite new to OpenProject and am really interested in this tool. But one of my main requirements is to be able to have a 'weekly timesheet' available for my team (on which their assigned tasks are displayed as rows and the days as columns) so they can easily write time and check if their workweek-time (ie 40 hours) has been registered to the tasks.

But I cannot find this feature in OpenProject (also not in the Forum).

Is it possible to do this?

Thanks

Joost

Hi Joost,

I can propose these possible solutions:

  • add workpackages and add the respective dates (e.g. Monday, January 25th). Use the Gantt chart and zoom in to show the work packages for each day.
  • use the work package list and filter for finish dates of the respective week and for the respective assignee. This will output a list of tasks for one week for one person. You could also filter for certain days instead of certain weeks.
  • use the wiki to write a list of tasks and link the respective work packages

Maybe other user have additional ideas...

Kind regards

Matthias

Hi Matthias,

Thanks for your help and your tips! I was digging around some more and found a feature which looks like it's close to my requirements; on [My Page] I can add a [My Spent Time] widget on which I can easly add hours on tasks and also the time directly booked on tasks are displayed here. Pretty cool!

regards

Joost
