Service Desk with MFA
Added by Steven Gates almost 4 years ago
Hi all, first post so apology if its in the wrong place. I'm fighting OpenProjects case over Jira, so hopefully you guys can help with the following:
We’re looking at potential products for both project management and service desk functionality. Project management is straightforward, but the service desk element is a bit of a struggle. A high level view would be that we would like the service desk to integrate with our SOAR platform and create incidents based on alerts, and assign to a the relevant client. We would then allow clients/customers to access only their incidents, add comments, read the history, etc.
One of the things we’re struggling to find is the option to enforce all users that access the service desk to use MFA. These users will be from a variety of different domains and/or addresses. Is that something that could be viable with OpenProject?

Hi Steven,
The main focus of OpenProject is project management itself. It would be possible to create a work package for incidents and a workflow for it but it is not the main use case.
Could you kindly provide a little more information on your use case especially for the incident management? We sent you an email about this topic, too.
OpenProject offers a two-factor authentication: https://docs.openproject.org/development/security You can force all users to use it (https://docs.openproject.org/system-admin-guide/authentication/two-factor-authentication/).
Kind regards
Matthias
