Filtering Project Manager in Module "Work packages" possible?
Added by Thyrrel Schendzielorz about 4 years ago
Hello,
maybe I just overlooked an existing possibility to filter by "Project Manager" but I don't think so because there isn't any field to specify a project manager in the project settings if a project.
We follow RACI and I think that we are not the only company doing so and we would welcome any response how to filter the work packages module for a certain project manager.
Kindest regards

Hello Thyrrel, you can set custom fields (https://docs.openproject.org/system-admin-guide/custom-fields/custom-fields-projects) for the RACI responsibilities. Don't forget to activate them in the respective project if you haven't set them as default or for existing projects (https://docs.openproject.org/user-guide/projects/project-settings/custom-fields).
Then you can use "view all projects" to create an overview according to your needs (https://docs.openproject.org/user-guide/projects/#view-all-projects). From release 11.0 on you can also decide which columns and in which order should be displayed.
Kind regards
Matthias
Hello Matthias,
thanks a lot for your quick reply. I often make use of special views in OpenProject. Is filtering possible for custom fields in the non-Enterprise-Edition?
Kind regards
Thyrrel
Hello,
I added a custom field "Project Lead"for projects and the field is displayed in existing and new projects.
But unfortunately it is impossible to filter for a certain "Project Lead" because this custom field is not selectable using filters.
Kind regardsĀ
Thyrrel
Hello Thyrrel, displaying the project custom fields in the global projects overview is a premium feature. To try this you can start a trial at https://www.openproject.org/enterprise-edition/.
