Announcement visibility

The cloud OpenProject Version (date July 2020) is showing "Announcement" on the login page. This is from my point of view "unsecure", as "Announcement" should be internal.

Can this be controlled within OpenProject; e.g. with an option "showing WW" or "only internal"?

Hi Rainer,

the announcement plugin was meant as a global info for all users, logged in or not. You cannot currently control it.

But you might have more success with adding a public project with a "News" item added to it.

If your authentication settings (Administration > Authentication > Settings) are set to "Login required", even the public projects will need users to be authenticated. Then, this will correspond to all logged in users seeing the news on their homescreen, for example.
