I work for a school and we've a project to follow 'special students'. These are students who, in parallel with their studies, are trying to pursue a sporting career. As a result, they have special facilities due to their many hours of training and the length of their studies is extended.

The idea here would be to have a basic project containing all the subjects that the student has to study in our school. In Openproject these would be the tasks.

Each time a student would enter our sport-study program, a new project would be created in his or her name.

Then, as a branch would be studied, it would be completed with start and end dates.

Finally, the Gantt would give us a global overview of its progress.

The question I have concerns the Gantt timeline. Normally, the basic unit and the day. Would it be possible, for such projects, to change the unit from day to month, for example. Indeed, a subject taken by a student is not done on a day-to-day basis but rather in months or even semesters.

+++ OOps sorry, it seems I've found the answer...  by dezooming the Gantt I can change the timeline unit ;)
