Is it possible to export custom fields (type: long text)?

In order to create a catalog of requirements/software specifications, we have created several custom fields. If they can be conveniently filled (type = long text), they cannot be displayed in lists and exported. If we want them to be displayed in lists and and can be exportet (type "text"), it is not handy to provide longer descriptions. How can this be solved?
