10.4 Set the manually defined Work Package order as a default view?

Hi all, 

We tend to create projects from templates, the projects are frequently multi-faceted (Product Development/Changes/Deletions) and additional Work Packages are often added to the project upon creation from template, and throughout it's lifecycle.

The problem is that these new packages appear out of order in the default "All Open" view (sorted by ID).

I can manually sort the packages, then save that as a custom View - but 

  • that then requires extra steps every time I (or a project member, or boss) enters the Work Package list view just to see the items in the order they should be/Gantt chart in a useful format 
  • it requires I remember to save it every time I make an adjustment to the order 

Is there a way for me to either:

  1. Set the All Open view to just use manual order by default (so I don't have to go through extra steps just to view the WP list every time) and allow me to save that somehow automatically?
  2. Set a custom view as the default view to open when the Work Package list is entered (by anyone)?

Are there any open bugs/feature requests that cover this topic?
