[Feature request] [Boards] Checklists in Boards
Added by Tobias Braun over 5 years ago
Hi,
I saw the sneak for the new Boards feature on the website and love it. This is exactly what I am waiting for. There is one piece I would love to see to come with Boards. The possibility to create checklists within a board like in Trello. So you could structure a task into its subtasks and when the specific item is done it can be easily checked to be done. The progress of a task could be update accordingly. Eg. having 5 items in the checklist, 2 ore done brings the progress to 40%. I miss this feature so much and would really appreciate to see it in OpenProject.

Tobias

Hi Tobias,
Thanks for the credits. The new boards will be released pretty soon. Here you can track the release:
You can already create checklists using the embedded tables:
Therefor you need to configure the form of the respective work package type in the administration.

Hi Niels,
I tried it out and it is a nice thing, but not exactly what I am searching for or requesting. My idea was this is cool, since I can then show the tasks in the new Board view to process them. The problem is, that it is not clear to what the tasks belongs, when you do not mention it in the title. This adds some micro management.
I would like to see a checklist integrated in an item. It is a list with a checkbox which can be marked when the task is done. I guess you know Trello and what I mean. This is then part of the bug or feature work package and so the entries of the checklist do clearly belong to the item.
Thanks for the tip.
