We are exploring openproject but we found a problem with work package filtering (or may be we are doing something wrong). You can assign a work package to an individual member or to a 'group'. If we assign a work package to a group and then try to select work package assigned to a member of the group, then the work package is not shown. So or we specify the member's name to the work package and then he can see the package but we can't generate an overview of all work assigned to the group, or we assign the work package to the group but then the member doesn't see it as he filters on packages assigned to his name.
Is there a way round ? Is there a way that if someone filters on projects assigned to them, also all packages assigned to the group to which he belongs, are shown ?

Hi Wim,
there are different filters involved that allow both and further use cases:
In your case, you will want to filter for Assignee or belonging group with the special value "ME". That will return for each logged in user, any work packages assigned to that user, or a group that the user is member of.
Best,
Oliver
Just found that also, but i was confused. If you select the overview of work packages and you use the filter 'me' it only shows the work where i'm listed as the assignee and that is the same if you select 'assigned to me' in the menu bar to the left. If you select assignee or belonging groups, you indeed get all the projects. Problem I see (it was my first reflex), is that when i wanted to see all the projects assigned to me, i automatically selected the menu option to the left which only shows the work packages assigned to myself and not the work packages assigned to the group I belong to. So there is a change I will miss some of the work packages. Is there a way to add a menu option that corresponds to 'assignee or belonging group' ?
