Is there a way to export the activity notes? When I do an export the description field is exported into a spreadsheet but having all of the activity entries could be very useful. Any ideas?
you can export a work package along with the activities belonging to that work package by selecting to export the work package as PDF (select "More" on the work package details view and then "Download PDF").
This exports the work package (with the attributes and description) as well the activities belonging to the work package.
OK, but is there a way say that I could select "all work packages assigned to me" and then do an export where it includes all of the items I'm responsible for and then export out all of the information relating to every single one along with the descriptions and activity?
This is currently not possible (and would potentially be a very long list). You can export the description for multiple work packages but not the activities.
Feel free to open a feature request for this. Alternatively, you could of course also implement this functionality yourself (since OpenProject is open source). There is a development guideline.
