OpenProject 3.0 now on Ruby 2.1

In our effort to improve performance we switched OpenProject 3.0 to run on Ruby 2.1.

Added by Jens Ulferts over 11 years ago

Ruby 2.1 now is the only actively supported Ruby version. Previously, OpenProject 3.0 depended on Ruby 2.0.

Installations already using OpenProject 3.0 should switch to Ruby 2.1 as soon as possible. Ruby 2.0 will probably work for some more time but we will not strive to maintain compatibility.

This is the last major change before OpenProject 3.0 is finally released:

In the time remaining we will try to remove as many bugs as possible. So please help us by reporting bugs you stumble upon.

We are aware that not everybody is updating ruby on a daily basis. So we will provide an update guide soon.
