# User Problem
## User
* Project manager
* Project member
## Problem
* There is no way to easily see if you have marked that view as starred or not in the sidebar.
* The default views are always on top and in a certain order no matter if you starred them or not.
* The default views are not configurable, they are the same for all instances.
* There is no easy way for project admins to pin relevant views for all members of the project.
* The private vs public view setting might be confusing.
# Business Case
## Solution (work package filters)
1. Users can "star" their favorite views (personal setting/not visible to other users)
* Rename the existing feature Allow in the "Visbility modal" from "Favored" a project setting to "Pinned".
* Show "Pinned" pin views in by the first section below project admins. The pinned views will go to the search field.
* Add "Star" button (top) "pinned section" in the toolbar of a filter.
sidebar.
* Add Starring views is a "Star" personal section of your favourites. Starred views will be displayed with a star icon to the starred filters in the sidebar.
Pinned views can also be starred.
* When a user stars a view it will automatically go to the top of the list section it is in (keeping the alphabetical order between starred views).
* Group Modify the filters in a elements of the sidebar on view pages (always with the same section by showing the starred lists.
title):
1. Module title
2. Introduce new sections in the sidebar: Search bar
* "My 3. Pinned
4. My private lists" lists
* "Shared lists"
3. 5. Others Shared lists
6. Default lists
* All the default views that are not pinned by the admins will go to this last "Default lists" section.
* In the administration, admins can configure the default pinning of lists for new projects.
* When copying a project the pinning settings are copied as well.
## Out of sope
* Change of the permission system
* User interface to change sort orders (globally and on project level)
* Editing default views
* Pinning default view across multiple projects
