**As** an OpenProject user
**I want** to be able to create recurring tasks
**so** that I save time.
# Acceptance criteria:
* Add a flag to work packages to set them to recurring
* Define time period in which tasks should reoccur.
* Recurring nature of task should be displayed in Gantt chart, calendar, etc.
* When recurring task is closed, the date should be updated automatically to the next interval (e.g. one week from original date) and status should be changed to original status (e.g. "New").
# Open
* Can we use the syntax from iCalender for recurring calendar invites?
# Comments
> FYI in Asana, the way it works is that the next instance recurring is created when a recurring task is completed. This has the disadvantage that you can't see future recurring tasks on a timeline, but the advantage is that it does not "pollute" your projects with tens of hundreds of incomplete future tasks.

> One thing that is a bit annoying in Asana is that it copies sub-tasks. So if you create a sub-task for a recurring task, it will be created again. This may be something you want in some cases, but in some cases you actually don't want it.
