# User Story

**As** a user in OpenProject
**I want to** be able to search for those work packages for which a Start or an End date has not been set,
**so that** I can create special views to monitor which packages hahve not yet been scheduled.

**Acceptance criteria**

* Add an "is empty" option to the operator to these filter criteria:
* Start/Finish date
* Custom fields of type Date
* When the "is empty" operator is selected, no additional field should be visible

# UX Idea

<figure class="image op-uc-figure" style="width:50%;"><div class="op-uc-figure--content"><img class="op-uc-image" src="/api/v3/attachments/23395/content"></div><figcaption class="op-uc-figure--description">add option to dropdown</figcaption></figure>

# Partial Work-around

For the standard &quot;Date&quot; field (range mode)

* you can use the standard field &quot;Duration&quot; to find out if both start/end is set or one of them is not set
