Various members of the team have expressed a desire to improve the OpenProject search bar.  This work package is meant to collect ideas for improvements.

Please try to be as detailed as possible. If you have even just rough ideas on how to improve behaviour, or several possible options, please include them too.

The Product team will then come up with some propositions based on your input.

### Ideas for improvement

* Increase width of the current sidebar (double it? <mention class="mention" data-id="3" data-type="user" data-text="@Niels Lindenthal">@Niels Lindenthal</mention>, please complete when you are back, no rush).
* Improve search results so that users are able to find relevant work packages quicker (<mention class="mention" data-id="9177" data-type="user" data-text="@Oliver Günther">@Oliver Günther</mention>, any ideas on how we can do this?)
* Center the search bar and give it a keyboard shortcut Begin of the insertion
* Try our best to use system shortcuts. 
* In most Mac software, this is Command + L. 
* **\[open\]** Can Windows users confirm? I know it works on Firefox, but is this a system shortcut?
* **\[open\]** Linux users?End of the insertion
* When you start searching, automatically display the last X viewed work packages, and sort the results by last changed date
