# User Story
**As** a work package user
**I want to** group by text custom field (not long text)
**so that** I can see work packages that I tagged visually together.
**NOTE** The text custom fields are used as some form of free text values so that non admins can also add arbitrary values.
**Acceptance criteria**
* Allow group by
* custom fields of type string (not long text)
# Alternative
* at least explain
* why a certain field is not present in the "Display Settings" of the view config modal
* what is not possible with a text field on the config page of a custom text field
