**As** a project manager
**I want to** be able to directly edit fields viewable in the "View all projects" page
**so that** I can more quickly update the big picture changes across projects
**Acceptance criteria**
* Able to edit any native project settings that appear in the "View all projects" page
* Able to edit any custom fields that appear in the "View all projects" page
* Editing should function like any field in a work package...
* If it is a list, I should be able to choose from the list
* If it is a text field, I should have the full text editor
* Etc.
* The permission to edit a project's details depends on the users role in the respective project (i.e. role "project admin" or "system admin" or another role with the permission "Edit project" is necessary). For all other users the behavior is the same as for users with read-only permissions in the work package module.
**Use case**
We use the "View all projects" page for our weekly stand-up meeting with PMs, Management, and Engineering groups. It gives a great birds eye view of all the projects the custom fields make it easy to sort depending on the topic of discussion. However, making any changes, even something basic as "Status", is cumbersome since you have to enter the project first, create the necessary edits, and then go back to "View all projects" or refresh the page. When going through 30 or so projects at a time, it adds up.
Most everything else in OpenProject is "if you can see it and have permissions, you can edit it" and would be great for that to be the case here.
