### **Environment**:
Your OpenProject Version: 11.0.0 / Cloud Edition
Operating System / Browser / OpenProject language: Windows / Firefox / English/German
<figure class="image op-uc-figure"><div class="op-uc-figure--content"><img class="op-uc-image" src="/api/v3/attachments/20155/content"></div></figure>
### **Steps to reproduce:**
1. Go to Administration -> Authentication and activate "account activation by email" for Self-registration
2. Log out
3. Register as a new user
4. Click on the link in the email you received and try to log in the usual way (with the credentials you chose in step 3)
### **Actual Behavior**
When trying to log in with email address and password there's the usual error message for wrong password or locked user. Re-sending a password from the Administration or requesting a new password as user leads to the same. Only when using user name instead of email to log in it works.
### **Expected Behavior**
Consistent behavior: As all other users can log in using email address and password (as the default user name _is_ the email address for them) also self-registered users should be able to log in this way.
