# Pain
Currently it is not possible to sketch a project plan when sub work packages are involved.
1. When adding sub-tasks start and finish date of the parent task get lost. This is an unexpected behavior (bug).
2. Dates of parent work packages can not be changed. The user needs to change the dates of the sub tasks.
3. When changing the dates of the sub-tasks the parent task is updated too. In many cases this is not the intended result.
# Solution
* Adding an icon to the list view that triggers the scheduling mode.
* Adding a visual indication of the scheduling Scheduling mode to the Gantt view
* Adapting the scheduling logic in the backend.
Automatically scheduled, e.g. based on children
* Adding indication in the work packages details view. Manually scheduled
* Create business logic to switch between the modes
* Error handling
