If you are using projects for separating your customer projects, often the same team members of different teams(software, firmware, scripting, hardware, etc.) working on those different projects.
There the team leaders managing workflows (they often use kanban tools like trello…) they need to have task lists there they are not restricted by projects and they need to be filterable (like lists depending on the state, assignee, etc.).
So the team leaders can manage a team with kanban and project managers managing projects with Work packages and Gantt.
I would prefer that the different user groups can work with one tool. So I would suggest improving taskboard/tasklist.
Features:
Filterable (tasks), easier and flexible to configure board view, directly edit tasks in the board view (like it is used in the list views) and not only project depending.
The tasklist is very “hidden” at the moment and only depending on versions.
Would be nice to get it from main menu like “Work packages” see screen.
To give you more imagination of my idea:
Would be very nice to get a kanban view in the “Work packages” menu like on the screen.
With the filter (saveable) you can get the view that is interesting for the user that need to work in the board. With the ease of working with the board view.
As configareable I would prefer to configure the states that are shown in the board (like “specified”, “in progress”, “closed” …) and this configuration has to be saved with the filter configuration too.
