**Preconditions**
- User A has set the email settings for his account to “Only for things I watch or I’m involved in”.
**Steps to reproduce**
1. Different user adds user A as watcher to a work package (or user adds himself while having the option to receive notifications on their own changes enabled).
**Actual behavior**
- No email notification is being sent.
- User only receives email notification with email settings “For any events on all my projects”.
**Expected behavior**
- User receives email update when setting “Only for things I watch or I’m involved in” is activated.

- OpenProject 5.1.0
