**Steps to reproduce**

1. Open WP inplace create Begin of the insertionform or update an existing CF for update.End of the insertion Begin of the deletion form.End of the deletion
2. Enter Begin of the insertiona value into theEnd of the insertion Begin of the deletion requiredEnd of the deletion CF Begin of the insertionwhich is shorter or longer than the CF’s min/max length constraint.End of the insertion Begin of the deletion but leave subject empty.End of the deletion
3. Begin of the insertionSaveEnd of the insertion Begin of the deletion Press Create —\> Correct error “subject cannot be empty”
4. Add subject and click create.End of the deletion

**Actual behavior**

- Begin of the deletion WP not created &End of the deletion internal error in error message.

**Expected behavior**

- Begin of the insertionNotification stating that the work package could not be saved due to the length constraint being violated (and subject missing).End of the insertion Begin of the deletion WP saved.End of the deletion
