### Steps to reproduce

1. Login as a user with permissions to edit a WP

2. Go to a WP that existed before 16.2 and edit the description

3. Add checkboxes and save the edits

4. The checkboxes sometimes turn into “• \[ \]”

5. Going into edit mode and saving again heals this


### What is the buggy behavior?

* The checkboxes are incorrectly shown as “• \[ \]” upon saving the WP
