### Before filing a report
_Before you file a report, please ensure you are running the latest version of OpenProject and_
_have searched for similar bug reports._
### Steps to reproduce
_Please write down the steps to reproduce. Try to write down all necessary preconditions (what permissions do you have, are other users involved?). Example:_
1. Have 2 phases (A, B) Login as a user with dates set permissions to manage members in project A
2. Clear phase A finish date Go to the members page
3. Clear phase B start date Click on "Add new member"
4. Set phase A Type the whole date range to an
1. **earlier date** than phase B finish date set in step #2.
2. **latter date** than phase B finish date set in step #2.
5. Open the Phase B edit dialog. It will display the default start date and the finish date, but the start date field is not yet set, so it will not appear as completely set.
6. Clicking save on phase B without any modifications will either:
1. set the range correctly. (If 4.a is chosen)
2. display an error message on the disabled start date. (If 4.b is chosen)

### What is the buggy behavior?
_Please describe the bug in as much detail as possible. Example:_
* In case **4.a** the range appears The button to be complete on **phase B**, however the start date is invite a member did not yet stored and we display the default start date only. work
* In case **4.b** There was an error notification shown with the same issue as 4.a on **phase B**, plus it will display a validation error message on the start date being later than the finish date. "XYZ"
### What is the expected behavior?
_Describe how the application should behave like. Example:_

2. \[OPEN\] In case **4.b** display the error message on the finish date, because the start date is not editable. But since we set the start date automatically, we An email should have been sent to that user

_Please note that unless you are a contributor to OpenProject, you can no longer edit this bug report after saving. You can still add new comments, new images and upload attachments though, but updating description or modifying fields will create an invalid phase, so not be possible after saving.
